On 15 December 2017, Brisbane Ranges Landcare Group celebrated its 20th birthday and all the members and activities over that time.

A great event was held to celebrate along with the local community and CFA members.   Current BRLG President James Bufton congratulated the group on its achievements, including 52kms of fencing along the river and planting of 150,000 trees.

The Brisbane Ranges Landcare Group was formed in 1997 with interested residents of the Anakie, Staughton Vale and Balliang districts adjoining or near the Brisbane Ranges west of Melbourne, between Geelong and Bacchus Marsh.

We work closely with landowners, organisations and groups in the area to improve our local properties, environment, waterways and community.

Our  events provide opportunities for sharing of information about relevant current topics and learning about available funding. With support of local authorities and organisations we present interesting guest speakers.

We welcome new Members, provide excellent member benefits and enjoy our group experiences too.

We wish to acknowledge the Wadawurrung People, the traditional owners of these lands for their continuing culture and connection to Country. We pay our respects to their Elders past and present. We take inspiration from the legacy from the Wadawurrung people, who have produced food, while caring for the ecological systems that life depends upon, for tens of thousands of years.
